Lining the Pond

In case it rains during the night, at the end of a very long day, the 2400 square foot liner is put into place.  Because of a layer of hard pan, the land doesn't drain and installing the liner on top of water (it floats) would be very difficult.

First is the felt pad and then the very, very heavy liner are placed, working out the creases, tucking under the stream liner, and securing the edges until the huge boulders can be placed. Naturally, before the liner can be placed there is the same preparation as mentioned in the previous posting -- digging the hole, raking, setting the edges with a laser level, making adjustments, then double checking everything.
